This is an exciting post I am going to bring today on SuperSoil
With all the talk about organics and we all know that this is the true way that anyone should be growing cannabis or vegetables for that matter. I have been doing hours and hours of research on living supersoil and no-till soil.
When I was doing the research for the living soil I didn’t want to use a pre-packed one. To me, that is not much different than using bottled nutes. The reason for that is the fact that it will be designed to break down. You will need to still be adding your own amendments to keep it thriving. @jonyoudyer has made the move to give one of these a try. We will have to wait and see the update coming from him on how this works.
Now when it came to my soil mix I was planning to make my own recipe with some of the other ones I have read. When it came to picking my ingredients I had no interest in using Bone Meal, Blood Meal, Or Any meal that comes from an animal. I have also chosen to also not use bat guano or seabird guano. These are not locally sourced and will becoming from farmed sourced likely.
I had also used some other sources but these are the main ones I had used. Another really good place that you should watch is the video from mindo dope
Recipe / Ingredients
The Ingredients I have decided on are:
- Sphagnum Peat Moss –
- ProMix HP with Mycrorizea –
- ProMix Vermiculture –
- Earth Worm Castings –
- Alfalfa Meal –
- Kelp Meal –
- gypsum –
- Epsom Salt
- Dolomite lime
- perlite (might change to lava rock)
I have not figured out quite the recipe I plan to use but I will mostly be going off the ones that I found and adjusting to the item I have. The end goal from making this switch is to have a no-till living organic soil for my Indoor and outdoor gardens.
